Integrated Transportation Solutions

Mainrom Line is an innovative shipping line company, offering integrated transportation solutions. Our advantageous facilities: river inland port, shipping line company, logistics and storage center are open for business in the prime location of Giurgiu, Romania.

Our advantageous and specialized services enable us to respond effectively and professionally to any special transportation requirements via sea, land and air transport from any origin around the globe.

Our barge service, which enables transportation of containers down the Danube River, offers a new enhanced alternative to the road and rail transportation.

Mainrom Line, offering integrated transportation solutions which combine waterway service and land transportation service by train or truck, enables delivery at your request within Romania, and any point in Europe.

The shipping-line operates on a regular and punctual basis to our clienteles’ full satisfaction. We transport goods, on a weekly basis, between the port of Constanta and our port in Giurgiu and from there, on to the west on the Danube. The shipping line Intermodal service is also available in the direction of Bucharest as well as other Romanian destinations.

The company’s main office is located in the heart of Bucharest to serve our customers. Mainrom Line also has offices at the Constanta and Giurgiu ports.

Smart Logistic Support

We provide the full chain of logistics from the supplier’s factory to the consignee’s warehouse by using our own river fleet and our own storage center based in the Giurgiu Free Trade Zone area.

Providing Container Terminal services as well as Logistics and Storage Services to local and global customers enable us to offer more than a standard inland river port.

The safety and protection of the environment play a major role in our company’ values and working procedures. Further to the Kyoto Treaty of 1999, the European Union has established a target of reducing CO2 emissions by 20% by the year 2020 in comparison to the 1990 levels. We are committed to fulfilling the objective of the European Union's transportation policy which requires reduction of goods transported on the highways by giving preference to transportation using European rivers and waterways. Mainrom Line’s innovative, new facility, consisting of the port and logistics center is more attractive than ever before.
